Frequently asked questions

Privacy is about empowerment and protecting the Privacy of individuals and children. With the constant use of the Internet and the increasing interconnectedness of our lives (Internet of Things), it is becoming more and more important to be aware of how one's own personal data is handled, as this can also have an impact on people and can lead to negative consequences such as discrimination or mobbing. Studies show that the use of the Internet by children and young people is constantly increasing. Today, 71% of 6-13 year olds have access to the internet, chat messengers and social media. However, around a third of children and young people do not feel safe online. We want to ensure students receive support and information from their school on how to be privacy conscious in their daily lives and how to stay safe online.

Raising students' awareness of media use is certainly very important but is not enough to ensure students are safe and secure online. The protection of personal data plays a crucial role in staying safe online. Through self-determined and informed handling of their data, students can protect their Privacy and thus their most intimate and personal life from third parties, which is an important fundamental human right.

This is a very good starting point. But why not ask your students, with concrete examples, whether they really implement Privacy? Studies show that 67% of young people surveyed, consider that the processing of their data is critical when using online services (e.g. Whatsapp stores and uses users' data, or that apps share data with third parties). However, in everyday life, the majority are not willing to give up online services and better protect their data. Therefore, it is important to take a closer look at Data Protection and to educate students about the consequences of using data when it is not protected or restricted.

Dynamic, collaborative and fun. We tailor our services to your needs and the age of your students. We prefer to work with your students face to face and in an interactive way. Students will be involved in classroom teaching and breakout sessions, and we will look at specific cases and individual settings for your students' phones, tablets, computers and internet use. Let's get in touch to discuss how we can work together.
